WNM 2026 Steering Committee

Considering the prevailing geopolitical situation in the Middle East, the WNM 2026 Steering Committee met on 3rd March 2026 to evaluate whether the event could proceed as planned from 21st to 23rd March 2026.
After extensive deliberations and taking into account the majority opinion, it was resolved that conducting the World NITCAA Meet on the proposed dates would not be feasible.

Concerns regarding potential travel disruptions and, more importantly, the safety and well-being of participants were central to this decision. Furthermore, given the prevailing war-like situation in the region, it was felt that hosting an event centered on celebration, fellowship, and camaraderie among alumni would not be appropriate at this time.

The Committee also discussed alternative options, and the majority view favored the following:
1. Identifying suitable future dates to host the event in the UAE.
2. Engaging with the hotel venue (Millennium Plaza) and event management partners to secure full or maximum refunds, thereby minimizing financial implications for NITCAA and registered alumni, considering the arrangements already made.

As these options require further discussions and negotiations with the hotel and associated partners, some time will be needed to deliberate and finalize the next course of action.
We request all registered alumni to kindly remain patient and allow the organizers adequate time to work towards the most appropriate solution. In the meantime, you may explore available options regarding tour packages, flight bookings, visas, etc., with your respective travel partners or Musk.
Alumni who have not registered, as well as those who have registered but are yet to complete their payments, are requested to await further communication.
We sincerely thank all alumni who registered for the event for their enthusiasm and spirit of unity. We deeply appreciate your understanding and continued support, recognizing that these circumstances are beyond the control of the NITCAA UAE Organizing Committee and the NITCAA Apex Body.
