About Kattangal Chimes
Kattangal Chimes is the voice of a community shaped by shared corridors and countless turning points. Created for and by the alumni of NIT Calicut, the magazine brings together stories that matter personal journeys, memories from campus, ideas that inspire, and moments that shaped who we are today. Named after the town that quietly witnessed it all, Kattangal Chimes rings with nostalgia, pride, and connection. Whether you passed out decades ago or just last year, this space is yours.
About NITCAA
NITCAA (National Institute of Technology Calicut Alumni Association) is a unified and vibrant alumni body that connects NIT Calicut with its global alumni community. It was formed in 2018 by merging the earlier forum RECCAA with support from regional chapters and the institute leadership.
The goal was to create a strong, legally recognized body that could support students, alumni, and the institute through meaningful initiatives. Since then, NITCAA has grown to include 21 active chapters across India and abroad, including in the US, Singapore, UAE, and Canada.
It plays an active role in mentoring, student support, campus development, and promoting Brand NITC. Projects like The Creative Zone and the Maithri Gazebo on campus reflect the alumni’s commitment. NITCAA works closely with NIT Calicut through a formal MoU and continues to build lasting connections that benefit the entire NITC community.
