“Don’t say “No” when you can say “Yes”

Jayaraman C (1984)

In a world where decisions right and wrong intertwine,

Where choices abound and paths align,

A resolute “No” struck my mind with forceful might,

Like the crushing blow of a hammer in the night.

We’ve been taught not to say “Yes” when you want to say “No”,

While a few argue “Yes-But” is a game people play on the go.

Yet, I firmly hold on, unwavering and bold,

When you have trust, a blind “No” is too cold.

Why say “No” when a warm “Yes” can be shared,

With those we hold dear, hearts paired?

When trust weaves its invisible thread,

And our hearts warm up to words unsaid,

Where bonds can endure, steadfast and pure,

Let’s not break them with a “No” for sure.

Say “Yes” to those who’ve earned our trust and love,

Fostering bonds transcending realms above.

Let our voices echo with affirmation and grace,

Together we’ll navigate life’s intricate maze.

Let “Yes” resonate as our anthem, bold and bright,

Guiding our paths, in both day’s light and night.

In the power of trust, we’ll find our way clear,

With open hearts and minds, united we’ll steer.
