 Home

It was never just a place
Where I was raised somehow,
It is a world of quiet grace
That lifts me without knowing how.

It was never just a place
Where stories were made,
It is a timeless, tender space
Where memories never fade.

It was never just a place
Of wood, or sand, or stone,
It is the very heart and base
That formed the self I’ve known.

It was never just a place
Where first my dreams took a name,
It is the sacred, warm embrace
That sets my soul aflame.

4 my son who turned 4

I never want you to be a topper
In every single test you write.
But I would love for you to be a dreamer
Who makes this world a little more bright.

Choose with care what you will do,
But always love what you pursue.
And never worry if there are a few—
Your only competition is you.

It would be nice to have many friends,
But I hope at least a few will stay—
The ones who stand beside you till the end,
When life does not go your way.

Life is never a rat race
Where all that matters is a scorecard.
Life is an everyday maze
Solved by passion and a vision board.
